The profiles give some background to the heroes and villains in this release, but it's nothing you couldn't learn from just watching the series itself. The profiles and songs aren't particularly interesting or new. Normally anime DVD releases don't have 6-7 episodes per disc like this release. Pretty much any room on extras is more devoted to putting as many episodes as possible onto each disc. Here are the available extras on this release: Koenma in his taller, more adult form is featured on the cover. Score: 7 out of 10 Packaging and Extras This DVD comes in a black plastic, clamshell case. There seems to be an impulse to add in more jokes that aren't there. Funimation does a good job with the English dub, but at times it feels like they take quite a few liberties with the lines and the changes that are made with respect to the sub-titles. Score: 8 out of 10 Languages and Audio The language tracks on this release are in English and Japanese, with 2.0 dolby digital stereo sound. The designs still look really specific and come off strong. The show has noticeably aged, but that's understandable since it comes from the early 90's.

Score: 8 out of 10 Video and Presentation Sixth Sense is presented with a 4:3 full screen transfer. And we get the final word on the Elder Toguro from the Dark Tournament saga who is like a bad rash that just won't go away.

Kuwabara, whose powers have been lost since the Dark Tournament, gets to have his moments as well. The best moment to come out of this episode is when Hiei provokes Yusuke into a fight in order to get Yusuke to loosen up and more focused on battle and less on the frustration from going after Sensui. And for the most part, Sensui outclasses Yusuke in every way. It seems that there is almost nothing the heroes can do to stop Sensui no matter how hard they try. This set of episodes does a good job of building the suspense and a dire and almost hopeless tone. The main problem is that Sensui has about ten years of experience over Yusuke and basically has Yusuke totally out-matched. Sensui lost his faith in humanity after witnessing a terrible incident and believes that society no longer deserves to exist so he seeks to destroy it. Now Yusuke's Spirit Detective predecessor, Sensui, has gathered his own team with psychic powered abilities to create a worm hole that will bring the demons of Hell upon earth. These 14 episodes take place after the grueling and rough ordeal experienced by Yusuke and his team in The Dark Tournament Saga. This release is a two disc set of 14 episodes of the series, totally uncut, unlike when they were broadcast in the US on Cartoon Network. He gains a rag-tag group made up of pretty and ruthless demons by the names of Kurama and Hiei and together they all fight the forces of evil that want to take over the earth. Yusuke is joined by an equally delinquent but also noble and kitty-loving friend, Kuwabara. His job is being charged by Koenma to investigate and apprehend demons who invade onto the earth realm of existence to cause trouble. Yusuke succeeds and he's ultimately made a Spirit Detective for the Earth. Urameshi died saving an innocent, so he was given a chance at reincarnation and was given a task by Koenma, son of the lord of the Underworld.

Yu Yu Hakusho followed the young high school delinquent with a heart of gold, Yusuke Urameshi.
